Terms of Use (End User License Agreement)

By downloading or using Duverso (the "App") you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as permitted by the usage rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play. You may not copy (except the public-domain Bible text), modify, reverse-engineer, rent, sell or redistribute the App's software or design.

2. Scripture text

The App contains the King James Version (1769 text) and the Reina-Valera 1909, both in the public domain in the United States. We present the text as published and don't alter it; the Reina-Valera 1909 keeps its original spelling. The App shows Scripture only, not quotes from authors or AI-generated text. Daily and mood-based verse selections are for devotional reading and aren't professional, medical, psychological or legal advice. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services.

3. Free version and Duverso Premium

The App is free to download and includes the verse of the day, one home screen widget and one verse by mood per day. Duverso Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional widgets and unlimited verses by mood. Features may change over time; we will describe current Premium features on the paywall and store listing.

• Plans: Yearly at US$34.99 per year, which includes a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers; Weekly at US$4.99 per week, with no free trial. Prices in other countries may differ and are shown before purchase.
• Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account. For the Weekly plan, you're charged when you confirm. For the Yearly plan with a trial, you're charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then (on Apple, at least 24 hours before the trial ends).
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel. On Apple, auto-renew must be turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and renewal may be charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. On Google Play, renewal is charged at the start of each new period.
• Trial reminder: If you allow notifications, the App sends a reminder at least 24 hours before your trial converts to a paid subscription. The reminder is a courtesy; the store's terms control billing.
• Cancel: Anytime in your iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or in the Google Play Store app > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play under their policies. We can't issue refunds directly for store purchases.
• Price changes: If we change a price, the store will notify you as required and, where required, ask for your consent before charging the new price.

4. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data the App processes. In short: no accounts, no ads, no analytics; purchase verification only.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the App to break the law, to interfere with its operation, or to misrepresent the App's content (for example, by passing off altered text as Scripture from the App).

6. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the App or widgets will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that notifications will always arrive on time (they depend on your device's settings).

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms; the effective date above will change and material changes will be noted in the App or store listing. Your license ends automatically if you breach these Terms. Sections 2, 6, 7, 9 and 10 survive termination.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of {{GOVERNING_STATE}}, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where the consumer-protection law of your country of residence requires otherwise.

10. App Store (Apple) terms

If you got the App from the Apple App Store, these additional terms apply:

1. These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple Inc. ("Apple"). We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content.
2. Your license is limited to using the App on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the App may be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
3. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services.
4. We are responsible for any product warranties not effectively disclaimed. If the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the App.
5. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
6. If a third party claims that the App or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
7. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

9. You must comply with applicable third-party terms (for example, your wireless data agreement) when using the App.
10. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

1. Licencia

2. Texto bíblico

La App contiene la King James Version (texto de 1769) y la Reina-Valera 1909, ambas de dominio público en Estados Unidos. Presentamos el texto como fue publicado, sin cambiarlo. La App muestra solo Escritura, no frases de autores ni texto hecho por IA. Las selecciones de versículos son para lectura devocional y no son consejo profesional, médico, psicológico ni legal.

3. Versión gratis y Duverso Premium

• Planes: Anual a US$34.99 al año, con una prueba gratis de 3 días para suscriptores nuevos elegibles; Semanal a US$4.99 por semana, sin prueba gratis. En otros países el precio puede variar y se muestra antes de comprar.
• Cobro: Se carga a tu cuenta de Apple o de Google Play. Semanal: se cobra al confirmar. Anual con prueba: se cobra al terminar la prueba, a menos que canceles antes (en Apple, al menos 24 horas antes de que termine).
• Renovación automática: La suscripción se renueva por el mismo periodo y precio hasta que la canceles. En Apple, desactiva la renovación al menos 24 horas antes del final del periodo; la renovación puede cobrarse dentro de las 24 horas previas al final del periodo.
• Recordatorio: Si permites las notificaciones, la App te avisa al menos 24 horas antes de que la prueba se convierta en suscripción pagada.
• Cancelar: Cuando quieras en Ajustes > [tu nombre] > Suscripciones (iPhone) o en Google Play Store > Pagos y suscripciones > Suscripciones. Borrar la App no cancela la suscripción.
• Reembolsos: Los gestiona Apple o Google Play según sus políticas.

4–9. Privacidad, uso aceptable, garantías, responsabilidad, cambios y ley aplicable

Consulta la Política de privacidad. La App se ofrece "tal cual", sin garantías, en la medida en que la ley lo permita, y nuestra responsabilidad total se limita a lo que pagaste en los últimos 12 meses. Estos términos se rigen por las leyes del Estado de {{GOVERNING_STATE}}, EE. UU., salvo que la ley de protección al consumidor de tu país disponga otra cosa.

10. Términos del App Store (Apple)

Si obtuviste la App en el App Store de Apple, aplican los términos de la sección 10 en inglés: este contrato es solo entre tú y nosotros, no con Apple; nosotros somos responsables de la App, su soporte, garantías y reclamaciones; y Apple y sus subsidiarias son terceros beneficiarios con derecho a hacer cumplir estos términos.
